AMPTPP GOALS
1. AN INDUSTRY VOICE - To be a voice for justice, fairness, and decency for all who labor within our industries.
2. To create respect, fair treatment and the necessary authority for producers as they and others create wealth and culture.
3. To educate relevant people as to the essential contribution that producers make to the creation of intellectual property and the world's culture.
4. To provide a representative voice for the producer community within the industry and in the courts and legislatures of the world, as needed.
5. To provide a representative voice for individual producers subjected to injustice in their role as producers.
6. To assist in educating the producer community and the industry in order to equip ourselves and our community to function effectively in the 21st century.
MEANS AND METHODS
The AMPTPP will utilize the following means and methods to pursue Mission and Goals.
The AMPTPP will:-
1. Operate as a Professional Association
2. Engage in co-operative discussions with the AMPTPP and/or other responsible industry groups on a wide range of topics of interest to producers.
3. Provide assistance, as far as possible, to individual producers who are being illtreated in their professional capacities.
5. Commission legal research on causes of action available to producers subjected to credit and other abuses and provide assistance where possible in individual and class action suits.
1. CO-OPERATIVE DISCUSSIONS
The AMPTPP will engage in co-operative discussions with other responsible industry groups, on a wide range of topics of interest to producers, emphasizing creative rights and economic terms.
3. LEGAL RESEARCH
Commission and complete legal research on causes of action available to producers subjected to credit and other abuses.
4. EDUCATE RELEVANT PEOPLE
Educate the industry, the public and lawmakers and opinion-makers as to the role and legitimate needs of producers.
5. EXPAND MEMBERSHIP
Try to have 95% of eligible producers to be members of the AMPTPP.
6. RAISE SIGNIFICANT FOUNDATION ENDOWMENT.
7. RAISE RESOURCES FOR THE Association.
Parental Guidelines
Producer
A Producer initiates, co-ordinates, supervises and controls, either on his own authority (entrepreneur producer) or subject to the authority of an employer (employee producer) all aspects of the motion-picture and/or television production process, creative, financial, technological and administrative, throughout all phases, from inception to completion, including coordination, supervision and control of all other talents and crafts, subject to the provisions of their collective bargaining agreements and personal service contracts.
Executive Producer
An Executive Producer supervises, either on his own authority (entrepreneur executive producer) or subject to the authority of an employer (employee executive producer) one or more producers in the performance of all of his/her/their functions as producers on single or multiple productions.
Associate Producer
An Associate Producer performs one or more functions as producers delegated to him/her by a producer, under the supervision of such producer.
A Producer's functions include active involvement in MOTION PICTURES & TELEVISION SERIES.
