What is it?
Well! This is actually a conflict between two individuals having attitudes which are poles apart. But Manish Tiwary tries to add all sorts of philosophies about cynic’s and optimists, college politics etc etc. after the introduction of the characters the viewer starts pulling his hair and wonders when will the story move forward. The movie only gains momentum during the last 15-20 minutes.
It’s a campus flick so there has to be ragging some college politics and college herogiri.
But here the characterizations are shocking!
Imaad Shah sleepwalks in the whole flick. He is shown as a Casanova but he can hardly make any women’s heart beat. Totally flat.
Shreyas Talpade is powerless in this powerful role as conventional thinker. The only innovation he does is he borrows a bihari accent and that too doesn’t do any good.
Only the ladies provide some respite to this misdirected flick. Nikita Anand shows traces of a fine actress. Ishita Sharma does a fine job. But the best comes out from Smriti Mishra she is just brilliant.Whats it all about?
Two university hostellers, Apurv (Imaad Shah), a rich, cosmopolitan guy who shifts duties – in the day he is after cute school belle Kintu (Ishitta Sharrma)and in the night he hangs out in the bed of a prostitute Vaisali (Smriti Mishra). Actually he is trying to find true love from paid or unpaid lust. God give us a break man!
Ok! The other guy has to be opposite and so he is Sanjay Mishra (Shreyas Talpade), an old-fashioned Bihari guy, who god knows how manages to make Prerna (Nikita Anand) a rich South Delhi babe who aspires to become an international model, fall for him.
The film juxtaposes the? New/Liberal? And the? old/ conservative? And never moves further.
What to look out for?
Strictly the ladies in this conflict between two males!!
What Not?
Editing jerks, unconvincing script, bad performance from the lead male actors, faulty direction, etc etc.
Conclusion: This friendship is not going to last long
