Technical Analysis
Being very optimistic about the outcome of the most widely covered bollywood event that happened on Tuesday & sincerely hoping that this 50:50 sharing treats every Friday release equally & believing that such silent arrivals in theaters (including multiplexes) when majority of Bollywood fraternity choosing to do otherwise is able to get some more share even though being a ‘can’ material & taking 5 years to hit the marquee.
Everyone associated with the film would know that it's a loose-loose situation for all; they are rightly going ahead with the release to get rid of some backlog. There has been no promotion of the film during its making and is now seeing a near 'dead' release due to scarcity of releases in multiplexes.
Coming to the film, ‘Ek Se Bure Do’ is a comedy of errors.
First time helmer Tarique needs some immediate crash course in narrating a story, the screen writers Bobby Khan & Nisar Akhtar should also search for an academy specializing in screen writing. The movie had two item numbers which where not bad but they where never promoted.
The incoherent writing & amateurish narration challenges the laughter in this so called rib- tickling entertainer. This con comedy about a Khazana some where is an amateurish attempt in every department. Decent actors like Arshad & Rajpal disappoint & so does Natassha. Newcomer Tusha doesn,t posses the heroine material.
Ek Se Bure Do is the second in line for an old film of Arshad to be hitting the screens. A few weeks back it was Kisse Pyaar Karoon that had arrived and it disappeared without any notice.
The film also features actors like Govind Namdeo (double role), Yashpal Sharma, Virendra Saxena, Vijay Raaz and Razzak Khan. All are just passable.
The flick gets ½ points out of 5 for the two item songs.
The Story
Two con man Tito & Tony (Arshad & Rajpal respectively) are finding tough to make their ends meet. One fine day they manage to crook a map which has the whereabouts of some khazana. Then starts a tedious, humdrum affair where two dons, a dacoit is after the map & they land up at one pace only to test everybody’s patience.
Promotion
The makers seem to be not keen as they where more bothered to get the movie cleared from the backlog.
Business Analysis
No promotion, no buzz, no face value & no hit number, so obviously no takers at B.O.
