What is it?
Bicycle Joe, a blue stone and a dashing groans.        

Foolingly, the tagline goes Stealing Stones 'N' Breaking Bones but finally after watching this whatsoever flick, a thought comes to my mind that it should be abruptly called “a nerve wracking syndrome”.  After Lakeer choreographer turned director Ahmed Khan finally tries to cross all borders of hotchpotchsy in this 2+ hr flick.

FOOL N FINAL is a unique film in it sense that it tries to say too many things at one time. Eventually in the end this action-packed comedy, sadly turns out to be a suffocating adventure and in between you think of banging yourself out from the theatre and fly away as WWF fighters fly in the film after getting the dhai kilo ka punch from our very own Sunny Paji. Now, another thought comes to my mind, its high time for the talented Sunny to do some performance-oriented roles and give a break to this ‘sunny sunny bang bang’.

But, there is a silver lining to this rather cloudy affair Shahid Kapoor and Paresh Rawal and some capturing stunts.

Whats it all about?
Munna (Sunny Deol) and his brother (Om Puri), stay in some Indian colony in Dubai, and in order to save Munna’s sister –in-law( Sharmila Tagore) from any future comas they hire Rajaa (Shahid Kapoor) a small time thug. Rajaa romances his current boss and future father-in-law’s Chobey (Paresh Rawal ), niece Tina (Ayesha Takia ) who follows the principal bubble gum kha khe jina and love this cycle riding marina (read peer). Why Munna chooses Rajaa? Cause he is a look alike of his brother who had died in a car accident.

Emotional curry ? no worry. Unwanted situations lead them to an idiotic chase of a diamond stolen from India and brought to the UAE by a golden toothie (Chunky Pandey) who after delivering a few lines turns into a sitting mannequin.

In between there is a Luckee (Vivek Oberoi), who also gets involved in this chase where there is a Moscow Chikna (Arbazz Khan), JD( Zakir Hussain) an Indian underworld don in UAE and also there is a fortune teller spy Cardmaster G9 (Jackie Shroff), Pattu Pilot (Johny Lever) a malbari who gets bhari on your nerves .

Wait, there are also three characters in this fair. Chowksi(Gulshan Grover) and Lalwani (Asrani) and hey a soundless payal (Sameera Reddy ) ah enough ! now I am getting ghayal.

What to look out for?
Shahid Kapoor as Rajaa the outgoing thug is quite riveting. Paresh Rawal as Chobey mama does creates some hungama with his PJ. Action by Allan Amin is capturing, especially shahid’s bicycle run.. Production values are first-rate and cinematography by Johny Lall is eye pleasing. Rest there is nothing to talk about this irrelevant flick.

What Not?
What could have been an engrossing action-packed comedy turns out to be a sickening misadventure. The film is packed with unexplained and illogical characters and events that pop up every now and then and then disappear only to surprise you by appearing again and then getting lost.

What’s was the matter with Neeraj Vohra and Anurag Khashyap…….?

Ahmed Khan has the technical brilliance but more effort is required as far as story telling is concerned.   
Himesh Reshammiya’s music does strange things to your ears and the same can be said about Sameer’s lyrics.

It is disturbing to see Vivek as luckee after loving him as Maya Dollas. Sunny Paji should know come out of Gadar’s and Ghataks. Arbaaz Khan looks disinterested. Talented actors like Om Puri and Sharmila Tagore are wasted. Ayesha Takia is strictly okay. Johny Lever disappoints. Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover and Asrani are passable.  What is Sameera Reddy doing in this diamond chase….?

Finally, don’t get fooled by the tag line and promos. Watch FOOL N FINAL at your own risk !
