JIMMY
BANALITY TO THE CORE

Rating: ![]()
What is this, you call this cinema. By no means at all. This movie is a horrifying experience in its own banality personified.
This goes in the annals of misdirection, incompetent storytelling etc. etc. What? When? Why, all this questions remain unanswered as you sit through the 2+ hr hours and thank the maker for improving your patience and tolerance and making you a better critique.
Imagine, this horrendous flick gives last week turkeys a run for their banality. An antique piece of reels to be kept in all the museums of media arts to explain what should be done to make a disaster.
Poor Mimoh Chakraborty, he should have opted for a better launch pad to exhibit his dancing skills. He need’s to trim his hair that will do him good. As fast as acting is concerned, he is just a beginner.
The movie has no novelty and thus is unique in offering nothing.
I repeat the demand of warning signals like those in cigarette packets and booze bottles and will continue until something in concrete takes place. Mr .Ramdoss should do something regarding this issue rather than waste time in targeting the Bachchan’s and Khan’s for publicity.
If you are still reading this then this horrifying experience called ‘Jimmy’ is grossly misdirected boring saga filled with mundane emotions and banality by Raj N Sippy. It is about a guy called jimmy Mimoh Chakraborty (dancing: good, acting: no comments) a mechanical engineer by day and a DJ by night. Why he is working so much, cause he has to pay off his late father debts. The boy gets framed in a murder and is sentenced to death but in the meantime he finds time to romance a corepati ehh sorry arabpati’s daughter callede Vivana ( no comments here also).
The rest is testing time for all in the auditorium and when the so called mystery unfolds, you check your pulse and breath wondering what was it all about and what does it meant to convey. Jammed, the movie makes the audience a zombie in its 2+hr run.
With this I conclude as the maker has left no clue for me to conclude where & when such banal express will reach its final destination. A thoroughly incompetent effort by the erstwhile entertainer – Raj N Sippy, who gave hits like Inkar & Satte Pe Satta.
