LIFE MEIN KABHIE KHABIE - In Pursuit Of Boredom

Rating:- * 1/2
What is it?
‘LIFE MEIN KABHIE KHABIE’ the latest offering from Baba films who have given entertainers like Ishq, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha, is a boring 2+ hrs saga which heads no where.
What it’s all about?
Five friends Manish (Aftabh), Rajeev(Dino Morea), Jai (Sameer), Monica(Nauhid) and Ishita (Anjori) have their own fundas of happiness and the way to achieve that so called happiness. They bet, who would be the happiest of them all after five years and at the end of five years, Manish will decide the winner. In the process, what all sorts of compromise they have to do, is the rest of the story.
What to look out for?
Performances mainly, Aftab is entertaining and delivers a fine performance, Dino tries to do a sincere job, Sameer Dattani is okay, Nauhid tries to be an actor. But the surprise comes out from the debutant Anjori Alagh, she is promising and seems to be talented, she does well in a difficult role. Any way she has to reduce her strange smiles. Mohinish Behl does his ‘bade bhiya’ according to his capacity. Rest there is nothing else to talk about this irrelevant flick.
What Not?
An entirely unconvincing plot by Manoj Tyagi, further damaged by the loose story telling by Vikram Bhatt, much was expected from him but he disappoints in a big way. There are so many flaws in the script. On the top of that, 2nd half drags it goes on and on & on. First half has some entertaining moments with Aftabh and Koel puri & that too are clumsy. Few questions arise, Aanuj Sawhnney suddenly starts douting his girlfriend even after believing her every lie to be true is hard to understand. A playboy (Raj Zutshi) refuses a girl’s advances, etc, etc.
LIFE MEIN KABHIE KHABIE, is one film with five boring stories with an added philosophy of so called happiness. The film is unique in it’s sense that it has hardly anything to offer from the story telling and making point of view. Performance by the lead actors is the only saving grace.
Preserve your happiness, By avoiding this what so ever flick.
