MUMBAI SALSA
OF KHUFIAPAS, ZAPAKAS AND NO TANGO
By Vishal Verma

Rating:- *

What is it?
Actually another parallel love stories set in the City of Dreams which make you scream for its tremology used for stupidity(khufiapa) Zapak(getting laid) and what not.

Manoj Tyagi is an award winning screenplay writer (Page 3, Aparharan) and he chooses this wayward youth flick as his directorial debut and also writes the film. Unfortunately he falls flat in every department. From characterization, story telling, chemistry between the couples, logic etc etc.

The only thing which gets you hooked in this torturtainment is Manjari Phadnis as Maya.

What is it all about?
4 girls Linda Arsenio - an American who loves an Indian stereotype(Dilip Thadeshwar) Manjari Phadnis – a career oriented yuppie who’s been dumped finds a shoulder in Vir Das(who has also been dumped), so the morale of the story is to get a better life partner it is necessary that you should get dumped before.
No wait … two more couples are left.

Areee … parallel love Story hai bhaiya, ‘Salam –E – Ishq’ nahi dekhi kya, koi baat nahi yeh bhi agar ‘miss’ ho jaye to koi wanda nahin. Also one dance teacher played by Neelam Chauhan who unknowingly falls for a married Idraneil Sengupta who has keeps his buddies secrets up to him so they also do the same  (lovingly, actually all these ladies men are best buddies).

And last but not the least as far as man are concerned, a slut by circumstances played by Amruta who after falling here and there finally lands up on the biceps of Ray Irani a fitnesspsych pub reader. Huff Huff I need a puff.

Get it ……….. Forget it!
Its all about how they fell in love and their different stories eventually comes at a point where everyone gets involved being told in a rather unconvincing manner.

What to look out for?
Manjari Phadnis for her fine performance… otherwise look for the emergency exit and go for a ‘couple of tequilas’.

What not?
Delete Manjari Phadnis and download the cast and crew list.

Conclusion: Don’t spoil your weekend; ‘Hang out’ somewhere else.
