A striking example of bad characterization

A film to be kept as a training manual for aspiring film makers and actors
(They will come to know what should be avoided to make a better film and actor)

Neither a take off, spoof nor a parody

Sluggishly Noxious

Senselessly weird

Except Susmita Sen and Mohanlal everybody else are miscast.

Much to the horror of the audience, the iconic Mr. Bachchan doesn’t act!

Actually he overacts

 The ‘Razzie' for 2007 goes to …………RAM GOPAL VERMA KI AAG.

Senseless, bizarre, sluggish, a no no flick, these are the words which come to my mind after watching this torturtainment titled ‘RAM GOPAL VERMA KI AAG’.

Mr. Varma what is the matter with you, from whom have you made this yawntertainer which turns into a tourtutainer? Has Sippy’s done something wrong? Why malign an evergreen entertainer in the name of creativity?

After watching this flick I realized that immensely gifted actors like Mr.Bachchan can turn out to be terribly scary. Such miscasting makes you to scratch your hair, beat your chest and do the ‘johar’ of jumping into an “ aag’.

My God? This is so pathetic.

I think I am overreacting, maybe because I am one of the die hard fans of Ramesh Sippy’s ‘Sholay’.
But, Ram Gopal Varma should have learnt from Mr. Subhas Ghai. ‘Karma’s’ basic idea was indeed inspired from sholay but the film had its own identity. Or lately from Sanjay Leela Bhansali whose ‘Devdas’ had all the glamour but still was watch able because he did not killed the basic characters.

Agreed, filmmaking is stressfully laborious, lot of efforts from various sectors are involved to make a 2+ hr entertainer. But from the maker who has given ‘Shiva’, ‘Satya’, Rangeela, ‘Bhoot’ and lately ‘Sarkar’ such halluluah of films can churn out such tourturtainer.

Do I smell overconfidence Mr.Varma?

Anyway one thing was sure after watching the promos and certainly in that front Ramu does not disappoints and he crosses miles by miles in making a bad film.

Even aliens will not find anything intriguing in this misadventure, and an awfully drunk captain Jack sparrow will come to his senses and leave the Caribbean for ever after watching this tourturtainer of all sorts.

The only thing that holds your interest for some time is Sushmita Sen and Mohanlal in
Bits and pieces.

Note : Style of review especially for this particular flick is changed deliberately because there are hardly any plus points in this tourturtainment. The flick is a pathetic waste of talents like Ram Gopal Varma, Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan etc etc.
