SONG PICTURISED FOR “DOBARA”
A folk song rendered by Jassi was picturised on Raveena Tandon and Jackie Shroff at Film City for Anushka Images Pvt. Ltd.’s “Dobara” being directed by Shashi Ranjan. The film’s cast includes Sanjay Dutt, Mahima Chowdhary, Gulshan Grover and Soni Razdan. The film is nearing completion.
“Modh” complete
With the picturisation of a song at Mikanos in Mumbai, Reality Cinemagic’s maiden venture “Modh – The Turning Point” has been completed. The film is being readied for release in November. Produced by Ravi Chadha and directed by Rahul Kapoor, the film has music by Omkar.The cast includes newcomers Beneka, Vikas and Baljeet along with Kiran Kumar and Bharat Kapoor.
TITLE CHANGED TO: “SHIKAR – THE MUSICAL THRILLER”
The title of producer Surjit S. Pandher and writer-director Darshan Bagga’s film earlier titled “The Killer - Ek Qatil”has been changed to “Shikar – The Musical Thriller”.
The film being produced under the banner of Himalaya Motion Pictures stars Jas Pandher, Raj Babbar, Prem Chopra, Shweta Menon, Saadhika, Ashish Vidyarthi, Shakti Kapoor, Raja Duggal, Anil Dhawan, Tej Sapru, and Danny. The film is presented by Valveer Kaur Pandher and has music by Anand Raj Anand.
“BOMBAY GODFATHER” COMPLETED
Writer-director Deepak Balraj Vij has completed his Bombay Godfather” after a seven-day shooting stint in Khandala. Starring Vikram Singh, Govind Namdev, Manoj Joshi, Kishori Shahane Vij, Rajita Kochar, Raj Sapru, Prashant Gokhale and others. Music is by Shreerang Aras.

Writer-producer-director Prasun Banerji’s “Pyar Mein Sab Kuchh Hota Hai” has been passed by the Censors with ‘A’ certificate and a few cuts. The cast includes Meraj, Jaya
Mathur, Aashiqa and Prasun Banerji. It has music by Dilip Dutta.
Romu Sippy’s “Woh” completed
With the picturisation of five songs and a number of dramatic,romantic and action scenes, including the climax at different locations, director Raj Sippy has completed “Woh”. The film is produced by Romu Sippy. Starring Priyanshu Chatterjee and new find Cleo Issac in lead roles, the film has music by Anand Raj Anand.
“Jee Jaan Se” launched
Right Image Films Pvt. Ltd.’s “Jee Jaan Se – With Heart and Soul” being produced by Kalyani Singh in association with Maan Singh Deep was launched on the auspicious day of Dhan Teras.
Starring Arya Babbar and Kaniskaa Kapoor in lead roles and a debut- maker from the South, Ankitaa, the film has music by Surinder Sodhi and lyrics by Maan Singh Deep himself. The film is being presented by Catch from DS Group of Companies. It will be shot partly in Switzerland.
“Jurm” - 25-day shooting schedule in Malaysia
The unit of KPS Films “Jurm” left for Malaysia for a 25-day long shooting schedule. Several action, dramatic scenes and two songs will be picturised during the schedule. Star cast of the film being produced by K.P. Singh and directed by Vikram Bhatt includes Bobby Deol, Lara Dutta, Milind Soman and Gul Panag. Ashish Singh and Anurag Singh are executive producers, and it’s a Girdharilal Sekseria presentation.
Tutu Sharma’s “Hum Tum..Aur Woh” launched
Producer Tutu Sharma launched “Hum Tum Aur Woh” at Red Light Club. Starring Aftab Shivdasani Tejaswini Kolhapure and new find Darshika, the film is being directed by Rajat Rawail. Former Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Chhagan Bhujbal, gave the clap for the muhurat shot.
12-day schedule for “Kyon Ab Aaya Na Maza”
Producer Tamanna Sayyed’s film “Kyon Ab Aaya Na Maza” went before the camera with an initial 12-day shooting at different locales in Pune. The film has been written and is being directed by S.U. Sayyed under the banner of Tamanna Films. Starcast includes Zakir Husain, Sajid, Sonali Kulkarni and others. Music is by Yunus Khan and lyrics by P.K. Mishra.
‘Dreams’ second schedule completed
The second schedule of Media Factory’s ‘Dreams’ has been completed. The film is being produced and directed by Aashish Chanana. Starcast includes Aashish Chanana, Neha Pendse, Manoj Bidwai, Navin Nischol, Himani Shivpuri and Harish Patel.

Amitabh Bachchan, Karisma Kapoor, Anupam Kher and others participated in 9-day shooting schedule of “Zamanaat”at Filmalaya Studios. The film being directed by S. Ramanathan has music by Viju Shah.
“Tumhen Paa Liya” in Chicago
Chicago Productions’ “Tumhen Paa Liya Khel Hi Khel Mein” was launched in Downtown Chicago with a muhurat ceremony. The muhurat lamp was lighted by Arun Kumar , Consul-General of India. Governor Rod Blagojevich and Jyoti Bhattacharjee, chairman of the State Bank of India conveyed their good wishes for the project.
“Sukh” completed
The entire shooting of Govinda’s production No. 1 has been completed during a spell of 26- day shooting. Directed by Kirti Kumar, the film has music by Nirmal. Lyrics are by Govinda himself. Starcast includes Govinda, Chunkey Pandey, Preeti Jhangiani, Arti Chhabria and Prem Chopra.
“Sau Jhoot Ek Sach” – post-production in full swing
The post-production work of Homecoming Pictures’ “Sau Jhoot Ek Sach” is going on in full swing. Cast includes Mammootty, Lillette Dubey, Joy Sengupta and Kiran Janjani.The film has been produced and directed by Bappaditya Roy and co-produced by Amitabh Singh, Rajesh Mapuskar and Bimal Oberoi. Music is by Fazal Qureshi.
“Devyani” – non-stop spell
Another major non-stop shooting spell of S.B. Creations’ “Devyani” commenced in the first week of January. Cast includes Jackie Shroff, Danny, Miss India World Shruti Sharma and others.The film is being produced by Basharat Khan and Shameen Khan and directed by Osho Raja. Music is by Hriju Roy.
“Dastak” – A Deadly Knock” makes progress
A 15-day shooting spell for Om Ganesh Enterprises’ “Dastak- A Deadly Knock” was completed at Savera Studios,Tudor Resorts and other Mumbai locales. The film is being produced by Ajay Paul and Manohar Patil and is being directed by Manjul Kapoor.
“Sarhad Paar” complete
Sanjay Dutt, Tabu, Mahima Chaudhary, Chandrachud Singh and Rahul Dev starrer “Sarhad Paar” directed by Raman Kumar has been completed after the conclusion of the last spell in and around Pune. Music is by Anand Raaj Anand.
40-day stint over
A 40-day schedule of Saif International’s maiden venture “Kahin Aag Na Lag Jaaye” was completed recently in Hyderabad. Milind Soman, Shilpa Shetty and Esha Deol participated in the schedule. The film is being produced by Barkat Sunesara and directed by Partho Ghosh. Music is by Anand Raj Anand.
“Kiss Kis Ko” – 50-day spell
With a 50-day non-stop shooting spell for Eros International and Pt. Multivision Plus (Jakarta) in Indonesia, “Kiss Kis Ko” has been completed. The film has been produced by Ram Panjabi and directed by Sharad Sharan. Music is by A Band of Boys and Vikesh Mehta. The cast includes Sudhanshu Pandey, Karan, Sherin, Sid, Chintu, Bhumika Puri Aparna Kumar, Ali Khan and Raj Zutshi.
Vicky Ranawat signed to direct “Kanhaiya”
Pushpam Films and producer Om G. have signed Vicky Ranawat to direct his most ambitious project with one hero and three heroines. Cast and other credits are being
finalized. Meanwhile he has also launched three films – “Mere Baap Ki Shaadi Hai”, “Lips” and “Kathod – The Heartless” -of his own as a producer.
