‘Raajneeti’ roars and rules

Thanks to its aggressive promotion, superb acting by the strong lead and desi emotions, audience has given a mandate in favour of UTV’s political drama ‘Raajneeti’ helmed by Prakash Jha. Jha’s root in helming flicks involving the netas and the goons like Gangajal and Aprahan and the drought of real desi masala for the long waiting hungry souls of bollywood and the disappointment from Kites has resulted in the audience swing towards the flick which was in news right from the day of its announcement.

The movie opened fantastically (Friday 10.5 cr. nett, Saturday 11 cr. nett, Sunday 12.5 cr. nett, Monday 6.25 cr. Nett) is coming next to 3 Idiots.

The film based in M.P. is getting tremendous appreciation from the hindi speaking belts and from Delhi U.P itself its being said to fetch around 10 crores nett alone from this territory and it’s a major achievement. With no competition till the date of the release of Abhishek, Aishwarya ‘Raavan’ coming on June 18, ‘Raajneeti’ enjoys maximum reach.

The movie didn,t showed any major decline on Tuesday which means that audience are signing ‘hit’ on its face. Till now the movie has collected 46.1 cr. nett.

In the UK, the movie has done business of USD 315,048, while in the USA, the collections stand at USD 916,446 and in the Gulf, the collections are USD 500,000.
