Mr. Kabir Bedi (Actor, Producer) Kabir Bedi is one of India's best-known international actors. In the James Bond film "OCTOPUSSY" he played the villain opposite Roger Moore. In Europe, his greatest success was "SANDOKAN", a record-breaking Italian-German-French mini-series, the story of an Asian revolutionary in British colonial times. In the US television series "THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL", the world's second most-watched television show, over a billion people saw Kabir's year-long role as Prince Omar.

Kabir starred with Michael Caine in Warner's "ASHANTI", was the flamboyant Prince in "THE THIEF OF BAGHDAD" and played the swashbuckling title role in "THE BLACK PIRATE". Kabir's American television work includes "FORBIDDEN TERRITORY: STANLEY'S SEARCH FOR LIVINGSTONE"; Ken Follet's "ON WINGS OF EAGLES", "RED EAGLE" and Tom Clancy's "OP CENTER". Kabir has also appeared in over a dozen US TV series, "DYNASTY", "MURDER SHE WROTE", "MAGNUM P.I." and "HIGHLANDER". Recently he played Friar Sands in "THE LOST EMPIRE aka THE MONKEY KING", a Hallmark production.

Kabir is also a well-respected star in India's film industry, known as Bollywood. From Raj Khosla's 1970's blockbuster "KUCHCHE DHAAGE" to his powerful contemporary roles - Rakesh Roshan's "KHOON BHARI MAANG", Feroz Khan's "YALGAAR", Anil Sharma's "THE HERO" - Kabir's reputation has grown by the year. In the theatre, Shakespeare's "OTHELLO" was a memorable performance, along with the lead in Vijay Tendulkars's VULTURES (Gidhare) and his title role in Girish Karnad's historic "TUGHLAQ", directed by Alyque Padamsee for the Bombay Theatre Group.

Kabir was presented with two Lifetime Achievement Awards - at the Ischia Global Film and Music Festival in July 2003 and at the Capri-Hollywood Festival in December 2003.

N. Chandra's passion for creative filmmaking has taken him to Hollywood where he is currently all set to make his first English film "A Woman From Georgia" with an all American cast.

» Mr. Rakesh Bedi (Actor) Rakesh though fully immersed in tele serials and film projects throughout his career never distanced himself from his Theatre Group IPTA- Indian Peoples Theatre Association — with which his involvement goes back to good 26 years. “Theatre helps me to improve myself as an actor,” is what he believes in. He was recently awarded the "Best Actor Award" for his play 'MASSAGE' by the Marshall's Comedy Awards. Rakesh nurtures the hope of directing a film one day based on his play.

Analysing his slow and steady success both in the film and on small screen he says, “I was not thrown at the limelight like Anupam Kher or Amjad Khan but my progress came with a steadiness, beginning with ‘Ahsaas’ which boosted with success of films like ‘Chashme Baddoor’ and ‘Ek Duje Ke Liye’. Rakesh is at present working for another Raman Kumar project “Bah Bah Ramji” and tele serials like “Meri Biwi No. 1” and “Hey Bhagwan.”

» Mr. Terry GruberMr.GRUBER , is the film commissioner of the LA COMMUNIDAD VALENCIANA. However he has more than 35 years of experience in the field of PUBLIC RELATION. He has worked with world’s famous personalities starting from President Clinton, Madonna, Gianni Versacci and the list goes on. He has also worked with major MNC’s like IBM, Sheraton Hotel corporations, Trans World Airlines etc. he has organized certain major events like The Bee Gees concert, Pavarotti on Miami Beach,IMAX Theaters etc. He has been a member of Florida Commission for Film and Television. He is on the board of the Ft. Lauderdale International and also the President “Storyboard Locations Inc”.

 

 

» Mr. Viveck Vaswani (Actor, Producer & Creative Consultant)Viveck is an actor, a producer, a writer/journalist& a teacher with a creative bent of mind.

Viveck has acted in 13 plays including the lead role in Pearl Padamsee's Elepnant Man. seven TV serials and 17 movies.

He has produced two Plays, three TV Serials and seven Hindi Feature Films. His film 'Everybody Says I'm Fine' was officially selected to the Toronto, Vancouver, London, Philadelphia, Jerusalem, Las Palmas and Los Angeles International Film Festivals and has won awards at the Houston and Milan film festivals, nd is currently running successfully in the USA Viveck is the Co-founder and has taught at the International Play School, a special school for children between the ages of 3 and 4. The school has now been incorporated in to the American School.

Viveck also creates and conducts regular workshops and seminars for new actors and directors who wish to enter the film industry. Having launched such hugely successful stars as Shah Rukh Khan, Raveena Tandon, Ashwini Bhave, Anuj Saxena ( Abhay of”kkusum”) Shruti Ulfat etc. and such eminent directors as the late Anant Balani, Aziz Mirza, Vikram Bhatt, Gyan Sahay, Rahul Bose and Anant Mahadevan.

He is currently associated with the Zee group as the Consultant Creative Director.

» Ms. Kunika Sadanand Lall (Actor & Producer) Being a daughter to an air force officer, She started her career in Indian entertainment industry 1987 with TV series "Kashmakash". She has acted in more then 75 films such as "Mujrim", "Beta", "Khiladi", "Gumrah", "Thanedar", "Heer Ranjha", "Bewafa Se Wafa", "Mohra", "Maharaja", "Pyarr Kiya To Darna Kya", "Qila", "Wajood", "Hum Saath Saath Hain" and "Ek Rishta". Kunika is also associated with the Indian music industry too. She earlier released a pop album called "Lakhon Mein Ek" for Times Music.

She has also produced the TV serial "Strivers and Achievers". Anchored by Kunika herself, it celebrated the struggle and achievements of people with physical-mental-situational handicaps. Presently, she is all set to produce a film on reincarnation that will be shot in the US and India. "Karmic Konnection" is a "purely Hindi commercial film"and will be directed by Deepak Tijori.

She leads an organisation that works for underprivileged children, "CHIP (Supporting Children in Pain)", that has adopted the Pratiksha Nagar school, a Hindi and Urdu medium school, with 1,000 underprivileged children.

» Ms. Rupali Mehra (Marketing)An invaluable 15 year long association with the film industry, the creative force behind ADVISTA, India's leading in-film advertising and marketing company. Rupali is a trend setting Public Relation Consultant with over 12 years of experience. She has effectively negotiated with leading advertisers and brands for in-film advertising in the top of the line films including Baghbaan, Boom, Badhai Ho Badhai, The Perfect Husband & Waqt. Rupali is also a Consultant to various film production houses for Festival and International Marketing.

» Mr. Vinod Kumar (Secretary General) Vinod currently serves as the Secretary General of the Foundation for Promotion of Film Arts & Crafts. He has been entrusted wth the honorary post of the Secretary General of the Film Foundation which is successfully handling for over 2 and a half years. He has Bachelor of Engineering specialisation in Computers, with a MBA in Marketing and Finance. He runs a software company called Shezar Technologies Pvt ltd, apart from being a Board member of one film company in India and one in Texas USA. He has been associated as a marketing & promotion adviser, with 26 international productions.

He is also the Publisher and Managing Editor of the Foundation's magazine, - Cinema & TV Explorer apart from contributing to the film sections of various industry print publications.

In addition, Mr. Kumar has managed Sunday Mail and ITV (India's first producer of sponsored programs) while part of the Sanjay Dalmia Group in India . Has over 5 years of experience in the publishing and media industry while with Sustainable Development of UK.

Mr. Kumar has a distinguished background in a variety of fields that bring vital skills, relationships and knowledge to Film Foundation. He was the Director of Mafatlal Consultancy Services, specializing in multi-million dollar technology consulting services for prestigious international and Indian clients and working with top technology institutions in the United States. He also negotiated and setup Indian Joint Ventures with Sunkyong & Dow Jones.

» Ms. Sushma Morthania (Treasurer)Sushma is the General Manager of Operations and Corporate Alliances for the Film Foundation, India and is the Editor of the Foundation's magazine, Cinema & TV Explorer.

Sushma has an extensive background in film, media and technology consulting & management. She is especially skilled as a Project Manager in the varied fields. Sushma has successfully organised and managed various events, conferences and film festivals. She is also the Head of the Foundation for Festival Programming and management.
