International Conference on Marketing Indian Entertainment
India International Film Convention 2003 to be held on 16th & 17th August in Mumbai
The biggest problem facing all film makers of India including big, small, medium Filmmakers is the lack of proper knowledge of marketing of their films worldwide. Various conferences/seminars are organized by various bodies and associations till date but the crucial aspect of marketing is never taken up ort addressed due to which no tangible benefit is achieved. The India International Film Convention 2003 is being organized on 16th & 17th August at the Grand Intercontinental, Mumbai, solely with the intention of addressing the issue of marketing Indian Entertainment worldwide.
India International Film Convention 2003 (IIFC) is India's first composite film event designed as a forum for exchanging information on lessons learned in the past, the future of films, evolving technologies, film marketing, co-productions, film festivals and shooting at locations world wide.
The event sheds light on various requirements & opportunities facing the Indian film industry through a conference and an exhibition. The objective of the event is also to introduce film makers from India, the world's largest film industry to unexplored locales and worldwide opportunities for business development by using the Internet & various International Film Festivals. As currently the filmmaker is not well informed and lands up spending hoards of money at various International Festivals focusing on concentrated markets without gaining much and if the efforts at marketing are coordinated, number of films can be promoted and marketed at various festival held all over the world and the IIFC 2003 is the first attempt in this direction where foreign buyers and film commissioners of various countries will not only be putting up stalls in the exhibition section of the event but will also have personal interaction with producers about marketing of their films.

The Foundation for the Promotion of Film Arts and Crafts is India’s only non-profit, non-trade union Film promotion organization, founded by well-known film-makers, artistes, marketers and film personalities. The Foundation strives to promote Indian Films and related Arts throughout the world, in turn assisting international film makers & marketers to understand and approach Indian markets.
The Foundation has laid down multiple paths towards reaching its goals, including;
