Christina Ricci uses her baby voice for dubbing!
Dated 1st February 2011

Christina Ricci, known for her roles in ‘Casper’ and ‘The Addams Family’ says that she used her baby voice while dubbing for 3D animation flick ‘Alpha & Omega’.

Christina says that during her first recording session as her character ‘Lilly’, Ricci and the directors found that her voice sounded too similar to co-star Hayden Panettiere’s. A change had to be made, so Ricci began experimenting, settling on what she calls her “baby voice,” which she jokingly uses when talking to her family. The result turned out to be much more appropriate for her ‘shy’ character!

Christina also said that despite all the challenges of working on an animation film, it was more fun and relatively easier than being on set. “You get to come in and be totally out of hair and makeup and in your own clothes and just do your performance,” says Ricci.

Alpha & Omega releases in India on February 4th.
