Imp. What inspires you to be an actor?
AA: When ever I go to see any movie, I carry the hangover of the message & the role which I have seen. I really feel motivated & that inspires me to be an actor, who creates the same impact on the audience, & when they come out of the theatre after watching my movie they too should go through the same experiences which I have gone through.

Imp. What kind of movies do you like to watch?
AA: I love commercial cinema as well as art cinema. Movies made by Yash Chopra they are beautiful romantic movies. Those dancing around the trees & all, but at the same time it should have a story to tell & a message to give. Also films like ‘Black Friday, Rang De Basanti, Iqbal, give me immense satisfaction.

Imp. What was your experience while working in your first film?
AA: My experience has been absolutely fantastic. I have been very lucky to work with a director like Vikram Bhatt. Baba Films, the producers, Ajhai Acharya the co-producer, they all have been a very encouraging unit. It was an experience of a life time, I will never forget it.

Imp. Did you face any problems?
AA: No, not at all. In fact, Baba films & it’s unit where very helpful & I did not face any problems what so ever. Working with Vikram was Fabulous & he actually made my work easier. Actually I do not have any bad experience to talk about.

Imp. How was rapport with your co-stars?
AA. It was great fun working with Dino, Aftabh, Nauheen, Sameer, we are all of the same age group. I enjoyed working with them, we use to sit together on the sets & when ever I use to have any problems they would really help me out. We got along so well.

Imp. Where you nervous, while facing the camera for the first shot?
AA: Unfortunately, its not there in the film but it goes like this, I get into an argument with someone & then end up with a slap. I was quite nervous as it was my first take, I was seeing to it that everything is fine & I am okay but from inside I was quite nervous during my first shot, I will never forget that.

Imp. How did you get your first break?
AA: I met Vikram 3-4 months before signing ‘Life Mein Kabhie Khabie’, I went at his office just to drop my pictures & luckily he called me after 3-4 months & mentioned the script of ‘Life Mein Kabhie Khabie’ asking whether I would like to do it. It was an instant Yes.

Imp. According to you what is the USP of the film?
AA: It’s a very young film. It’s all about these teenagers who want the best in life, they want best cars, watches, want the best life style. They know what they want in life & also know how to fulfill their desires, but they are not aware of the compromises and the ups and downs they will have to face in the bargain. It’s a young film and youngsters will identify themselves with this film.

Imp. Ishita- the character you play in the film is very focus, a clear-headed girl who believes money is the key to happiness, as a person are you the same?
AA: No, I am quite different from Ishita’s character. I believe money is a necessity but happiness comes from within. It’s a state of mind, you feel happy with what you are & what kind of a person you are. You don’t need external source of happiness.

Imp. What sort of a role will excite you?
AA: The role I play in Life Mein Kabhie Khabie excited me, the character I play is quite different from me as a person. I would like to play different kind of roles be it commercial cinema or meaningful cinema. As a newcomer I look out for different kind of roles in order to learn more.

Imp. Given a choice, which role would you like to play?
AA. Ayesha Takia in Dor it’s a fantastic role. I would love to play that.

Imp. Who do look upon as your screen idol – female?
AA: Rani Mukherjee.

Imp. And, In Male who do you look upon for the same?
AA: Aamir Khan.

Imp. Whom do you believe you have inherited the most, your business minded father or your creative mother?
AA: Ah- that’s a difficult one, but I will try to answer that. I think I have both ½ ½ . My mother as acting point of view, she helps me a lot & at the same time my father has been quite an influence.
I took up management in America because of him & he has taught me a lot, but my instincts towards theatre where much stronger. Both my parents are of equal importance to me.

Imp. What next in the pipeline?
AA: I just did a film with Tigmanshu Dhulia titled “Sin” I have done a Motorola ad with Abhishek. Slowly I am getting to find some work & hope to do well.

Imp. What are your other passions?
AA: I love painting, swimming, as I said earlier I am very passionate about dancing. I also love pets and spend a lot of time with them.
