“This ‘Ghost’ will become a ‘Darling’ of all, everybody will love her” – Esha Deol.
She created ‘Dhoom’ with the glam doll image in ‘Dhoom’ and became the talk of the town and press alike.
Then came ‘Just Married’ and ‘Cash’ both the films have been rejected, but with T-series ‘Darling’ directed by Ram Gopal Varma, the actor has lots of hopes. And she shares this with IMP.
On playing the character of a ‘ghost’ Esha says excitedly, “Yeah! I am playing the character of a ‘ghost’ in the film, but this ‘Ghost’ will become a ‘Darling’ to all. Everybody will love her”.
Speaking about her role in ‘Darling’ she further adds, ‘ I play Geeta a working woman who romances her boss who is already married, Geeta is killed by her Boss and then she enters her Boss house turning into a Ghost to settle scores rest I will not disclose”.
Not elaborating further about the story, she adds, “ I have not done any make up for the role of Geeta, the character of Geeta has a graph which I feel will be liked by the audience”.
Esha is in all praise for the film ‘darling’ and seems quite confident about her character, she shares, ‘Darling is a well made film, its romantic and has its thrills. Isha Koppikar also plays a vital role in this film. But I am quite confident that it will be my character will be talked about and loved the most by the audience”.
On working with Ram Gopal Varma the actor says “this is my first film with Ram Gopal Varma and I have seen a very focus and an intelligent filmmaker in him, he had made me to do some scenes which otherwise I would have been reluctant to do, I have improved as an actress by working with him and will definitely want to work with him further”.
Coming from a cultured and traditional family background, Esha does not like to wear glamorous outfits personally, but as a thorough professional she is ready to give more than 100 percent for such glam doll roles and do full justice to the demand of the character.
She desires to play the role which can portray her classical dancing skills and when asked about her future projects she says, “ quite a few exciting films are there on the pipeline in different genre, one is ‘Highjack’ opposite Shiney Ahuja which revolves around hick jacking of planes, another one is a comedy with Tusshar Kapoor as my co –star titled, ‘One Two Three’, and there is a film with Mahesh Bhatt titled ‘Jannat’, it was my earnest desire to work with him and with ‘Jannat’ it is now getting fulfilled. And of course ‘Goolmaal Returns’ with Rohit Shetty.
“Watch out” exclaims the actress who desires to be the ‘Darling’ of cinegoers.
But we all have to wait till Sept 7.
