Ishq Bector takes on Universal Music & the Censor Board.

Firebrand singer-composer-lyricist ishQ Bector, has gone ahead and leaked his own upcoming video ‘Saali Bitch’ on youtube.

Recently, Universal Music had tied up with ishQ to release his new album and were to launch it with the video of this song. But apparently after giving it to the censors for approval, Universal went quiet about the same and is delaying the process without even giving any update to ishQ for the same, even after ishQ having repeatedly followed up with them.

Challenging and taking on Universal Music, ishQ went ahead & leaked the video online. “This song was designed for places that do not have censorship restrictions.. it is not a family song.. its a club banger!! and online is an immediate way to release any frustrations!!” he said.

“Rajeeta Hemwani and my Universal Music gave the song to the censors but the red tape to get censor clearance was taking waaay too long.. Also Rajeeta Hemwani and my Universal Music team is actually pumped to do 'keede' with me, so i was like "to hell with everybody!" .. now i don't even care if this video gets played on TV!!! I have faith in my online audience to make this mad song popular.. If push come to shove, I'll pirate my own music if that's the way to get it to my listeners” added ishQ, who has also written the lyrics.

With a name like that for a song, we wonder what went through ishQ’s head while making it, “I make songs while i chill with my friends.. and use the lingo we speak as lyrics to my songs.. so while my poor friend was getting his heart broken by his girlfriend.. we were all singing this song to him.. "oye kudi teri saali nikli bitch!!!"
