Sony Music releases music of MNIK on iTunes

Karan Johar has collaborated with Sony Music for the music of his forthcoming film My Name is Khan (MNIK) starring Shah Rukh Khan – Kajol.

Sony Music has released the songs of MNIK on iTunes worldwide on 4 January, 2010. This is three days before its release in stores on 7 January, 2010.

The music - composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy – is available for streaming and download across all the countries iTunes is present in.

Johar said, “For MNIK, we decided to have music which is a sharp contrast to the visuals that may dominate the screen. The music has a rustic and soulful feel; the songs aren’t your regular lip-synced numbers, as is the normal practice, yet each track is a haunting melody and will leave behind an indelible mark.’’
